The subscription registration process:

During subscription sign-up, you will be led through the following steps:

-Choose your subscription type

$14 Monthly, $120 Annual, $18 per On Demand pickup

-Choose the # of Phoenix bins you want to be delivered during your 1st collection

Minimum of one bin per household, maximum of three.

You are always welcome to order an extra through the Customer Account Portal if needed.

Each bin is $20, charged to the payment method added.

-Input your contact and collection information

Email address, name, address, phone number.

Any route notes you would like our driver to know.

-Add your billing address and payment method

Monthly payments are processed on the 28th of each month for the following month’s collection.

-Complete the checkout process.

Once we have established and verified your account in our system, you will receive an official Welcome email* with all information needed for the duration of your subscription. This email will include your area’s assigned collection day, our guidelines for glass collections, and a link to our printable Collection Schedule.

*All subscriptions registered on weekends (between 5pm on Fridays and 10:00am on Mondays) will receive their welcome email on that Monday.

If you do not see your official Welcome email within 48 business hours, please check your spam/junk folder and add support@phoenixglassrecycling.com to your list of known contacts.

General

  • Once signed into your Customer Account via the Phoenix Glass Home Page:

    1. Select your On-Demand subscription.

    2. Select Edit Subscription.

    3. Select Add Addons.

    4. Choose the One time collection option and then hit Add.

    5. From there you will be in your checkout cart, which will charge the card/bank account on file.

    You will be added to your area’s monthly route unless that day has passed, in which case, you will be added to the following month’s pickup route schedule.

  • Once signed into your Customer Account via the Phoenix Glass Home Page:

    1. Select your On-Demand subscription.

    2. Select Edit Subscription.

    3. Select Change.

    4. Choose the subscription you would like to change to and then select Update.

    5. From there you will be taken to your checkout cart, which will charge the card/bank account on file and add you to your area’s next monthly collection route.*

    *If that day has passed already for that month, you will be added to the following month’s pickup route schedule for your area.

  • Once signed into your Customer Account via the Phoenix Glass Home Page:

    1. Select your On-Demand subscription.

    2. Select Edit Subscription.

    3. Select Add Addons.

    4. Choose the Glass Recycling Bin option and then hit Add.

    5. From there you will be taken to your checkout cart, which will charge the card/bank account on file $20 and add a bin delivery to your next collection.

Walkthroughs

  • We ask that you have your glass in a sturdy plastic bin/container/bucket at your driveway or front curb separate from any trash or blue recycling carts by 7am that morning. Driver pickup times can vary due to traffic, weather, scheduling, and collection routes and your collection may be anywhere within an 8am to 6pm window depending on those variables. Please no plastic/paper bags or cardboard boxes.

  • Glass is collected per area assigned pickup days with 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday of the month. Assigned pickups days are no longer zip code accordant.

    You may purchase a Phoenix Recycling Bin from us via your Customer Account as detailed in our Instructions for how to order a bin section. Otherwise you may put your glass out in an sturdy plastic container/bin/bucket that can be lifted from the ground, please no plastic bags, paper bags or cardboard boxes.

  • We expect individual residential pickups to have 1-2 bins per household per pickup to complete area-wide house-by-house collection routes with our truck. If you have more than 2 bins of glass (about 60 containers), please send us a message through the website to let us know so we can plan accordingly. We generally leave it to residential customers in good faith and ask that On-Demand subscribers with consistently large volumes of glass convert to a monthly subscription to account for the collection and processing of those volumes.

  • Please remove lids and closures from containers, you do not need to remove labels or do anything more than give the container a quick rinse as water is also a precious resource!

    We accept the following types of containers:

    Wine, liquor, juice, and beer bottles of any size, shape or color

    (Painted bottles are also acceptable)

    Jars of any kind (jelly, pickles, sauces, olives, etc.)

    Essential oil or perfume and similar bottles

    Candle jars (clean unused wax out using a warmer/overnight stay in the freezer)

    Broken or chipped containers (any listed above)

    We cannot accept the following items:

    Pyrex (or similar) bakeware

    Dishware

    Windows

    Mirrors

    Light bulbs

    Plate glass or any other type of construction/auto glass

  • On-Demand collections should be scheduled when one bin is full, with the understanding that a second may be full by the time your area’s collection day arrives. Our policy for larger collections of glass from a single residence requires disclosure of the amount of glass being put out in an email to support@phoenixglassrecycling.com, along with a potential extra charge appropriate to the amount being collected. This is to account for an extra truck route, driver scheduling, and gas used for that pickup.

  • If you are moving within the Madison County area, you can change your residential and billing address through your Customer Account via the Phoenix Glass Home Page.

    Once signed in, select Account Information and you’ll be able to update any information that may have changed. If the location change also changes your assigned collection day, you will receive an email with the updated information.

  • You can find your collection day under Account Information in your Customer Account via the Phoenix Glass Home Page.

    If you think you may have been missed on your collection day and are overflowing with glass, fill out the drop off form at the bottom of the page and we’ll take it for no charge.

  • Once signed into your Customer Account via the Phoenix Glass Home Page:

    1. Select your On-Demand, Monthly or Annual subscription.

    2. Select Cancel Subscription.

    3. Select Cancel Immediately.

    4. Click the Confirm Cancellation button, from there you should receive an automated email confirming the subscription for your records.

  • On Demand Collections: Recycle your containers when you have enough. $18 per pick up.

    Monthly: We stop by your house on a designated day each month to collect your recyclables. $14 per month, pause or cancel anytime.

    Annual: Similar to our Monthly service, we’ll stop by on a designated day each month to pick up your recyclables, but you save money by paying for the entire year at once. $120 per year or $10 per pick up.

  • Barring severe snowstorms or full ice-over conditions, Phoenix Glass collections operate as normal and the instructions for pickup day still apply, this includes days when schools are closed ahead of expected weather.*

    *We will always send an email to the routes that may be impacted by the delay and suggest following Phoenix Glass Recycling on Facebook and Instagram, as any delays we may experience will always be posted there to let subscribers know, as well.

  • You may schedule an appointment to drop-off glass at our location in Huntsville (35816) by filling out the form below (at least 48 hours ahead of time please) so we can add you to our drop-off calendar and make sure someone is here to receive your glass.

    We are open Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 4:30pm for drop-offs, and the address will be sent within your appointment confirmation.

    We request a $5 processing fee from non-monthly/annual subscribers for drop-offs and $5 per cart filled if it is a substantial amount. Each cart holds about 100 containers.

    There is also the option to become an On-Demand subscriber if you live within Madison County. With this subscription you only pay the $18 when you schedule a pickup (which is collected on the assigned day set for your area each month) and it is free to set up on our website under the ‘Residential’ section along with the option to purchase one or more of our Phoenix Glass Recycling bins.

  • We do a few different things with the glass we collect, including:

    -Selling whole containers to people or businesses that can use them as-is

    -Creating various materials that can be used in crafts or other projects

    -Crushing the glass to create cullet to send to manufacturers for aggregates in construction and manufacturing

  • You may absolutely buy some of our glass to suit your needs, it is a low-cost way to make sure glass is reused locally! Simply send us an email at support@phoenixglassrecycling.com to schedule a sales appointment.

Drop Off or Used Container Store Appointment Request

Please note: Drop-off and Container Store Appointments Requests must be submitted at least 48 business hours ahead of the requested day. Same-day and next-day drop-offs can not be accepted and you will be asked to resubmit with a future date and time.

For requests made on weekends (between 5pm on Friday and 10am on Monday), appointment availability begins on the Wednesday of the upcoming week.

A $5 per cart processing fee is required from non-monthly/annual subscribers for drop-offs (one cart holds approximately 100 bottles).
